medicine Nikhil

This week we have been learning about the Rongoa Maori.Maori medicine is made from native trees found only in the native forest of New Zealand.
we learned that before you enter the native forest you need to say the Karakia. 
The most interesting thing that some of these plants we found in our school and I didn't know about them!!




 Kawakawa can be used for toothaches.

 

This tree grows about 20 metres tall. It has bright red berries.


Koromiko is in bushes and it is a Small sweet to a attract to butterflies and Bees.







Harakeke can be used 
for it's flaxs.
